It’s no secret that travelling can be an exhausting task. Time management and heavy luggage alone are enough to stress out even the most seasoned traveller, often leaving you without time to rest or even grab a bite to eat while enroute to your destination.
Realising this, and with a determination to make business and pleasure trips to and from Japan enjoyable journeys, Haneda airport is preparing to unveil their flagship complex, the Haneda Airport Garden, directly connected to the airport’s Terminal 3.
Due to open in 2023, the Haneda Airport Garden is designed to cater to the needs of all travellers, offering a variety of options that will allow you to relax and recharge while on your travels.

    A Good Night’s Sleep

    With the scheduling of some flights and the time difference created during international travel, sleep is often the first on many people’s wish lists while travelling. Catering to weary globetrotters and those who’d prefer to simply wake up and walk onto their flight, Haneda Airport Garden is set to offer two luxury accommodation options.

    Firstly, there is the Villa Fontaine Premier Haneda Airport. Containing 160 guest rooms, all of which come with basic amenities such as shower booths, visitors will have their stay here complimented by serene views of the nearby Tamagawa River as they relax in preparation for the next leg of their trip.
    Completing the accommodation offerings is the Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport, a much larger establishment consisting of 1,557 rooms. Here visitors will be able to choose from a variety of special room types, including Japanese tatami rooms, as well as specifically dedicated guestrooms for women, making it the perfect rest stop regardless of your requirements.

    Stop For a Soak

    Aching feet and a sore back are common ailments for any long-haul traveller. To combat this and get you back to feeling your best is Izumi Tenku no Yu, a natural hot spring area located on top of Haneda Airport Garden.

    Providing incredible views of both Mount Fuji and the Haneda Airport runway, here visitors can enjoy a variety of relaxing options. These options include an open-air bath, indoor baths, a hot stone sauna and a regular sauna , making it quite an unusual way to pamper yourself while at an airpot.
    Relaxation rooms and restaurants will also be available as part of the complex.

    For those in search of souvenirs, supplies or something to eat, the Haneda Airport Garden’s shopping mall aims to have something for everyone.

    Consisting of around 60 stores, the shopping mall will be divided into a variety of zones. These zones will consist of Haneda Sando for clothing and fashion, Haneda Collection for cosmetics and Japan Promenade for local Japanese goods, as well as drug stores and convenience stores for those in need of necessities.

    Also contained within the shopping mall will be around 20 restaurants offering a variety of cuisines and dining options. Between in-house seating available at some restaurants and a larger food court nearby, a total of approximately 1600 seats will be available within the complex, ensuring you won’t struggle to find yourself a spot.

    Service Centre and Transport

    Ensuring that travellers both arriving and leaving the airport are accommodated for, Haneda Airport Garden will also feature a well-equipped customer service hub, known as the Omotenashi Centre.
    Omotenashi being the Japanese word for Japan’s infamous hospitality, the centre will offer a range of services such as comprehensive tourist information, currency exchange, tax refunds, wheelchair and stroller rental as well as luggage storage.

    Here, visitors can also get information regarding the nearby Haneda Airport Garden Bus Terminal. With plans to make a total of 15 bus pick up points bound for Shibuya and Shinjuku, as well as further reaching destinations such as the world-famous ski resort town of Hakuba, Tohoku in the north of the country and also the Chubu region – meaning many travellers flying into Haneda Airport will have no trouble reaching their final destinations within Japan!
    Please note bus routes may be subject to change so please ensure you double check schedules before traveling.

    More Than an Airport

    With plans to also include spacious event and meeting spaces within the complex, such as the 1,140 square-metre Belle Salle Haneda Airport, which will provide capacity for up to 1,100 guests, the Haneda Airport Garden is setting out to change the way people travel in Japan, almost becoming a destination within itself.
    Designed to ease the stress of travel while accommodating for visitors from all walks of life, the complex is set to be perfect for both those just passing through, as well as travellers in need of a place to rest their head.

    Attached directly to the international terminal 3, all visitors to Haneda Airport will find themselves within only a short walk of the Haneda Airport Garden upon its completion and unveiling in 2023.
