    hotel Siro

Located in the neighborhood of Ikebukuro, one of the most popular shopping districts, a new minimal hotel, Siro opened in July 2020. The ground floor of the hotel faces a street and has a unique swirling outdoor staircase and looks more like an apartment than a hotel. The reason behind such exterior blending with the surrounding neighborhoods is because the hotel aims to provide travelers with the authentic experience of staying in a neighborhood, rather than staying in a hotel. As the name “siro” which means white in Japanese implies, the interior has a unified look with the color white with pictures of Ikebukuro’s community symbol “owl”. Even the amenities and towels are white too. Within this 10 storied hotel, the interior is designed with 3 different designers and because of this difference, each floor is uniquely decorated. The rooftop space is an area where guests can experience glamping in the middle of the metropolitan city.

    Landabout Tokyo

In the neighboring station of Ueno, famous for boasting more than 10 museums and a 400meter open air market, Ameyoko, a new hotel, Landabout Tokyo has opened in January 2020. In contrast to the retro-pop common areas on the ground floor, the hotel rooms have a stylish atmosphere. Some of the rooms have a raised platform where guests can take their shoes off and relax. In addition, rooms with balconies on the 11th to 15th floors offer a view of Tokyo Sky Tree.
