Dan bing is a popular Taiwanese breakfast wrap that looks like a thin tortilla with eggs and a filling. There are two main kinds of dan bing, one's made with a pancake-like mixture and the other with dough. If these are fried to golden, it will have a chewy and crispy texture.

Cōng Zhuā Bǐng (Flaky scallion pancake)

Yángròu lú (Spice for mutton stew)

This spice is used to make a classic winter dish for Taiwanese people using medicinal ingredients, ginseng. Together with this spice, mutton stew is made with rice wine. Since it is a medicinal soup, the ginger in the spice makes the body warm.

    Duck Blood

Duck blood curd, originally from Nanjing, the capital of East China's Jiangsu province is a popular ingredient often used in hot pot soups. Otherwise known as “blood tofu”, it has a jelly-like texture and has a meat-based broth taste, rather than iron or metal-like flavors as blood does.

    XO Sauce

The XO sauce is a stable condiment in Hong Kong and the southern mainland regions like Guangdong, made from dried seafood, salty Jinhua ham, shallots, garlic, chili, and oil. It has an explosion of umami deliciousness that you’ll want to slather on literally anything and everything you can find.

    Grass Jelly

Grass jelly is used in various desserts and drinks and used as a refresher in Hong Kong, Southern China, and Taiwan. These jelly are mixed with honey, water, and the usual additives to make a dessert, as some describe it as tasteless with very mild herbal and slightly bitter note if eaten as is.

    Century Egg

Century eggs are one of the traditional delicacies originating from China made by preserving chicken or duck eggs in a mixture of salt, lime and ash, then wrapping in rice husks for several weeks. As a result, the white becomes a dark brown gelatinous material, and the yolk becomes deep green and creamy.

Aside from the ones listed, there are tons more that are sold at the supermarket, including fresh fruits to drinks and more. Taking just a tour at this store is exciting enough but, trying out something from pure imagination from what is looks like from its packages might be one fun way to explore this store.
