Traffic Accident
If there is someone hurt or need to request for a treatment, call 119. Injured persons are always the first priority at the scene of an accident. See more details on Guide for Ambulance Services which will help you find everything you need to know.
Next, notify the police by calling 110 (Tokyo Metropolitan Department). If you cannot speak Japanese, then have someone who speaks Japanese contact the police for you. You must always notify the police in the case of an accident, regardless of the accident's severity.
Alterntively, you can also connect directly to a hotline for ambulances, fires, and police via the Japan Travel by NAVITIME Emergency Call .
Lastly, don't forget to contact your insurance company to inform them of the accident. Keep in mind that some insurance companies require you to notify of an accident within a set period of time, so you should contact them as soon as possible to be safe.※To dial make an international call from Japan: 010 + country code

Theft/Robbery
The most important step is to notify the police. Go to your local koban (police box) and report the loss. You will be asked to provide details of where and when you last had it, what was inside (incase of a wallet), as well as a physical description the items lost. The police will then likely to ask you to fill out the ishitsu todokede juri shōmeisho (遺失届出受理証明書) or a tracking document. If you lost a passport, this document is very important to issue your passport again.
