While luggage is an essential part of traveling, sometimes it’s a nuisance when all you want to do is go shopping without a suitcase in tow. If you’re arriving in Tokyo during the early hours of the morning before your hotel’s check-in time, there are numerous places where you can leave your luggage in Shibuya so you’re free to explore.

Perhaps you’ve got a late-night flight but want to make the most of your final afternoon in Tokyo. Why not store your luggage in lockers before exploring in Shibuya Station!

How to Leave your Luggage in Shibuya


  • Many Coin Lockers at Shibuya Station
  • Small-sized bags can be stored in a 300-yen coin locker (Western Exit of JR Shibuya Station: above ground)
  • Underground passage at Shibuya Station of Tokyu Line | A large number of large-sized lockers are available and most of them are vacant!
  • Go downstairs and turn to the left
  • Inside Shibuya Mark City | Coin lockers
  • Basement of Shibuya Mark City | Refrigerated coin lockers available
  • Bag Stop: Shibuya Chika-gai Shopping Road
  • Shibuya Chikamichi: B1 luggage storage counter
  • Coin Space: Shibuya Mark City 4F
  • Karaoke Pasela: Shibuya branch
