The deity worshipped at ""Itsukushima Shrine"", in Hiroshima Prefecture was relocated, and the shrine founded in a sacred festival in 2012. The ""white snake"" have been designated as a natural monument, and with their faith and protection many worshipers visit praying for luck with money and business prosperity. Visitors are able to find decorations and design elements based around white snakes."

    岩国藩主吉川家歴代の神霊を祀る神社で、国の重要文化財に指定されている。お濠を渡った長い参道の突き当りにあり、ぶらぶら散歩するのにいい。

    錦川鉄道の錦町駅から徒歩10分ほど。町はずれの高台に鎮座。 807年に宇佐八幡宮より勧請して創建。祭神は応神天皇、仲哀天皇、神功皇后。途中に一の鳥居がある石段を上り、杉木立の参道を抜けると二の鳥居。そこから100mぐらい参道が続く。社殿は一番手前に横町(横庁)と呼ばれる割拝殿(1847年築)があり、明治に奉納された絵馬が掛けられている。その先にある幣拝殿(1957年改築)はきれいに整えられ、明かり...
