Mikaen is a “pick-your-own-pears” tourist farm located on San’in Road in Yuyama, Fukube Town, Tottori City. During the pear season, which extends from roughly August to November, visitors can eat as many pears as they are able to pick within one hour; they can also pay to take any surplus pears home with them.

An association that grows and sells pears at Yamayuyama village, near the Tottori Sand Dunes. Just off the Fukube Interchange, their pears are sweet, fresh, and juicy. Located to the northeast of Tottori City, Fukube-cho has been a pear growing area since ancient times. It's also known for producing the premium Nijisseiki variety. You can also pick your own perfectly ripe pears from late August to early October. It's all-you-can-eat, and any that you can't finish you can take home with you for an additional fee.

"An orchard catering to tourists near Roadside Station Hatto. Visitors can join in harvesting grapes, pears, apples, and chestnuts annually from late August to mid-November. Entry includes picking as much fresh and juicy seasonal fruit like pears and apples as you can eat with no time limit. The flavor of fruit raised on the clear waters of the Hatto River in the gorgeous mountains is outstanding. The whole Hatto area, which includes the orchard, is known as the ""Land of Fruit"" because it produces an abundance of Nijisseiki pears, Saijo persimmons, and more."
