- This souvenir shop is located at the entrance to Shiraito Falls. They sell a wide variety of souvenirs such as food items including pickles and jam from Karuizawa, folk crafts and picture postcards. Many tourists visit to rest or eat since there are food booths where you can have udon (white flour noodles) or soba (buckwheat noodles) and outdoor benches. Their popular menus are handmade tofu made from the spring water from Shiraito Falls and soybeans from Nagano Prefecture, and salt-grilled white-spotted char.

During lunchtime, customers can enjoy yakiniku Japanese barbecue and steaks; the Tateshina gyudon, a rice bowl covered with egg and piled high with Tateshina beef; a hearty basashidon horsemeat sashimi rice bowl; and other rice bowl dishes and combo meals, plus curry and more.

- This matsutake mushroom cuisine restaurant is located in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, and is a place many matsutake-lovers go to from all over Japan. They are keen to offer only fresh, just-harvested matsutake, and you can savor course meals with the mushrooms. In addition, the scenic views of Mt. Konosu from the interior allow you to enjoy your meal while getting a taste of nature. It is open for a limited time from early September to around mid-November.

豊作だというので、予約して行きましたが、以前の別所松茸山の山盛り松茸鍋とは異なり、 4枚だけの鶏鍋でした。ご飯も松茸の素？吸い物も？お見上げ1万円は本物中1小1！、もっと割得な松茸山になれば良いですね。

佐久のイタ飯屋ではここのパスタが一番美味しいと思う。ランチのセットは頻繁に訪れると変わりばえしない感もあるが、美味しくリーズナブルだと思う。 その他の肉料理などは今一つひねりが無い気がする。味は悪く無いのだが。

上田市で人気のタンタンメンのお店です。注文すると真っ赤な唐辛子がかけられていて、少しビビりましたが、思ったほど辛くはなく、とはいえ汗が出るおいしさでした。辛さは自分で選べますので、中辛あたりが個人的にはオススメです。
