- Fukushima Minamiaizu-gun Tadamimachi Narato Tsubaki 61
- This book store features a unique system in which individuals can become owners of a plot of forest land by selling old books. This program was launched in 1994 with a goal of preserving the naturally-blessed mountain forests of Tadami by allowing people to become owners of the forest in exchange for their old books. It is possible to exchange a certain amount of books, DVDs, and other similar items assessed at 10% of their retail price for one tsubo (approximately 3.31 square meters) of forest.
