    This is a ski resort on Takatsue Hara in the Aizu highlands. It boasts a spectacular panoramic view from the top and fine powder snow. There are various courses tailored to a range of levels from beginner to advanced including a family course which can be enjoyed safely with small children as well as a top hill course with a maximum inclination of 36 degrees. In addition there are facilities to enjoy after skiing such as a resort hotel overlooking the ski resort and a day hot spring “Shirakaba no yu.”

    A ski resort located in Minamiaizu Town, Minamiaizu County, Fukushima Prefecture. The resort has 12 courses as well as a kids park, making it a popular destination for families with children. The resort also allows snowboarding and is renowned for its halfpipe facility. The resort’s restaurant serves yakisoba curry, tomato ramen, and other favorite cheap eats from the Aizu area.

    A museum attached to the Tadami Town Beech Center. Centered around the theme of Tadami town's beech trees and nature they provide permanent exhibition in the Panorama Theater as well as screening of videos and display of local Tadami town flora and fauna specimens. Four times a year they hold special exhibitions in the second-floor hall.

    こちらの入館料を払うと、ふるさと館田子倉も見学できます。 ふるさと館田子倉では、田子倉ダム建設で沈んだ集落の写真が展示してあり大変興味深かったです。

    Fukushima Minamiaizu-gun Minamiaizumachi Itozawa Nishi Sawayama 3692-20
    This museum collects and exhibits materials historical, folk cultural, and natural history materials with a goal of conveying the appeal of Okuaizu region's nature, culture, and history. The facility, which first opened in 2004, changed to its current name in 2009. Its collection of around 24,000 items includes many folk crafts and tools that were used for hundreds of years. 5,058 of the items in the collection have been designated as National Important Tangible Folk Cultural Properties. Around 3000 items are currently on display.

    博物館の中に昔の農耕具などが展示されているだけかと思いきや、かやぶき屋根のちょっとした集落のようなところも見学出来て、藍染めなどの体験ができるようでした。 ちなみに、展示館以外に再現されているのは、馬宿、染屋、旧猪俣家住宅、旧山王茶屋です。このうち旧山王茶屋はレストランになっているので、食事をするのであれば、無料で入れます。

There’s also a free rest space and restaurant—the fresh-baked bread and karaage fried chicken are particularly popular. Many skiers from far and wide come here. The resort is for skiing only and snowboarding is prohibited.

    Aizu Kogen Daikura Ski Resort is a municipal ski resort run by Minami-Aizu township. There are a total of 11 slopes to suit all abilities from beginners to experts. The Daichan Park located near the lodge has a range of children’s play equipment including roller slides etc.; on weekends the resort’s mascot “Dai-chan” makes an appearance here. At the restaurant visitors can enjoy famous local Aizu specialties such as “Sauce Katsudon” (a bowl of rice topped with a deep-fried pork cutlet served with Worcestershire sauce) and Shoyu Ramen (ramen noodles served in a broth flavored with soy sauce).

    A campground in Nishizawayama, Itozawa, Minamiaizu Town, Minamiaizu County. Auto-camp sites, first-come first-served campsites, and a rhododendron garden cover the hills and fields that are also inhabited by quite a few wild animals including rabbits. Some of the camp sites are pet friendly and the deepest part of the camp area is a youth camp used by groups such as the Boy Scouts.

Clear spring water also wells up from the ground here and the park has been selected as one of the 100 most beautiful forest areas with a natural spring. The park is frequented by local residents.

    A fishing pond located in a park full of nature that has remained unchanged since it was first opened over 40 years ago. Free cleaning of the fish before you take it home is available, while salt-grilling and deep-fry prep such as filleting, breading, and deep-frying are offered for a fee.

    This book store features a unique system in which individuals can become owners of a plot of forest land by selling old books. This program was launched in 1994 with a goal of preserving the naturally-blessed mountain forests of Tadami by allowing people to become owners of the forest in exchange for their old books. It is possible to exchange a certain amount of books, DVDs, and other similar items assessed at 10% of their retail price for one tsubo (approximately 3.31 square meters) of forest.

    This two-story western-style building was originally constructed to serve as the Minamiaizu County Office in 1885. It was relocated and restored in 1970 after the construction of the Tajima Joint Fukushima Prefectural Government Building. The building has a number of unique features including columns evocative of Greek architecture, chidori hafu bargeboards reminiscent of a Japanese castle, and ranma fan-shaped stained glass transoms. It was designated as any Importance Cultural Property of Fukushima Prefecture in 1971. The building features permanent exhibits on subjects such as the history of westernization in Minamiaizu and of history of Shigiyama Castle (also known as Minamiyama Castle). Some of the items on display exhibits include a diorama of the Shigiyama Castle, artifacts excavated from the castle, and informational panels.

Park facilities include an auto camping site, bungalows, barbequing facilities, a gymnasium, a multipurpose ground, tennis courts, and more.

Visitors can learn about the preciousness of the nature of Oze by viewing a model of the entire Oze area, videos, and other media.

    以前、行きましたが魚のつかみ取りのイベントは朝とか早い時間にしか放流せず、昼前頃になると参加料は徴収されるのに魚が全くいないという寂れたイベントでした。初めて参加した時以来、再び参加することはありません。子供たちが楽しみにしていただけに非常に不満しかないイベントでした。
