相國寺

由足利義滿創建的臨濟宗相國寺派大本山寺院，位於京都市上京區。此為與足利將軍家、伏見宮家及貴宮家深具淵源的禪寺，被列為京都五山的第二位。境內設有統籌管理禪宗寺院的僧錄司（管理僧侶職務的單位），為禪宗行政的中心存在，後因火災與雷擊燒毀等，反覆經歷衰落、重建過程。寺內法堂由豐臣秀賴捐贈，為重要文化財，天花板上有狩野光信繪製〈蟠龍圖〉的「鳴龍」亦廣為人知。
