Befu Gorge
The Okumonobe area, sprawling at the foot of Mt. Miune (or Sanrei) and Mt. Ishidate, has been designated a Nature Park by the prefecture and a Natural Recreational Forest by the national government, and visitors can enjoy the seasonal, picturesque scenery. Befu Gorge is part of this area and is a particularly renowned destination for autumn foliage. There are walking paths around the gorge for visitors to stroll and take in the seasonal beauty.
