The Otaru Candle Workshop with ivy climbing up its walls is located just a one-minute walk away from Otaru Canal and handles originally-made candles at the workshop, handcrafted candles from Japan and abroad, and candle holders. You can have a go at making things yourself including the popular scented pillar candles, fragranced wax bars, and snow globes. There is a cafe surrounded by candles on the second floor and a shop selling Christmas items.

小樽運河の近くを散策していたらこちらのお店がありました。石造りの外壁に蔦が絡まった建物は明治４４年（１９１１年）に建てられた倉庫を改装したものだそうです。店内にはたくさんのキャンドルが飾られていました。キャンドル造りの体験もできます。２階は喫茶店なので利用価値は高いです。

すごい匂い

中に入った瞬間に、強い香りがぶわーっと漂ってきます。お腹いっぱいだったので、この匂いはちょっと気持ち悪くなってしまいました。アロマキャンドルなので仕方ないですね。手作りキャンドル体験もできるようです。いい記念になりそう。
