A local train line running 25.1-kilometer from Ena Station on the Chuo Main Line to the end point at Akechi Station. You can take in the tranquil rural scenery from the train window as it winds its way south through the highland area of Higashi-Mino. The area along the way is full of highlights including Iwamura Castle's town, Hanashiro Onsen with its elegant kaiseki cuisine featuring agar vegetable gelatin, and Taisho Village with all the ambiance of that bygone era. The Taisho Roman-go is an express train with a dining car that lets you enjoy seasonal Ena cuisine made with local ingredients, including mushroom dishes and courses featuring agar, a Yamaoka specialty.

のんびりと約３時間弱の列車旅

恵那駅から明智駅まで約50分なので、ちょうど手ごろな鉄道旅。特に何かある様な路線ではありませんが、田舎の中を行く風景は雑念を忘れさせてくれます。行きはほとんど登りで、ディーゼルカーが可哀そうなくらい必死で登っていく様子がよくわかります。一方帰りはその反対なので、ほとんど惰力で走っています。途中の飯沼駅にはまだ『勾配日本一』の看板がありますが、かなり前に京阪京津線の大谷駅に抜かされている筈なの...
棚田の中を走る路線

恵那駅を出て間もなく棚田が見えました。それから明智駅までのかなりの区間車窓から棚田が見えます。周辺も刈り払われていて見通しが非常に良いです。日本でもこの路線だけではないでしょうか。乗車したのは3月で田植えの雰囲気もありません。これが5月とか9月とかだったら、どれだけ見事かは容易に想像できます。田植えか収穫の時期に再訪ですね。
要前往岩村山城必要的交通

明知線是一條連結日本岐阜縣惠那市的惠那站至明智站，屬於明知鐵道的鐵路線。雖然是一條路線不長的鐵道，但如果要前往岩村城，是必要的交通方式。
