This museum that opened in 1982 is a facility where people can learn the history of Yamanashi from archeological materials. The museum exhibits artifacts that paint a picture of the prefecture from the Paleolithic age to the Edo period, the time of Kofu Castle. Museum visitors can also participate in hands-on activities such as ancient fire-starting or making magatama beads.

縄文時代から古墳時代に特化した博物館です。アプリをダウンロードして隣接した古墳を散策すると楽しいです。展示品も充実しており、掲示されている解説も比較的丁寧です。実物の出土品がたくさん見られるので、考古学が好きな方にはお勧めです。最大の難点は、公共交通機関でのアクセスが悪いことかな。

縄文時代から古墳時代中心の考古博物館です。良い感じでした。自分的な一番の良さは、本物の土器を触ることが出来るコーナーがあったことですね。縄文時代の土器と弥生時代の土器は、強度や厚みがやっぱり違うというのを実感できました。あと、銅鐸も叩くことが出来ました。まぁー銅鐸も一般的に学者が結論付けられた使い方以外にも諸説あるし、自分で叩いてみて良かったでした。自分なりの答えはわからなかったですけどね。あ...
