Kentokusan Erinji Temple
This temple famous for its gardens, a nationally-designed historic site and scenic area, was chosen by samurai warlord Takeda Shingen to serve as his family's temple. It also boasts many attractions including a good number of cultural properties such as its four-legged gate, a National Important Cultural Property, and the family gravesite of Takeda Shingen, a prefecturally-designated Historical Site. Every April 12, the temple is packed with people attending the Shingen Festival.

- 夢窓国師の代表的な築庭庭園として有名な庭園はもちろん観応えがありますが、撮影禁止の堂内を鶯張りの廊下を通って進んだ明王殿に安置されている武田信玄の等身大不動明王「武田不動尊」に向かって右脇の暗闇を手探りで進んで行くと、運が良ければ武田菱に触れることが出来ます。徳川幕府の側用人だった柳沢吉保が此処に眠っていることは初めて知りました。
