Mt. Kirishima
A mountain with numerous excellent spots for enjoying fall foliage. The mountain experiences a lengthy autumn color season, with the leaves starting to change on the Ebino Highland around late October and continuing in succession through late November in the Takachiho-gawara area, the area around Kirishima Shrine, the Japanese zelkovas in Yokogawa, and the two gingkoes known as the Fukuyama Spouses. Note that depending on volcanic eruptions, entry to the area may be prohibited; be sure to check in advance before visiting.
