Roadside Station Ryujin

This roadside station on National Route 371 features an extended building reminiscent of a dragon's body. Forestry is Ryujin Village's main industry. As you enter the facility, you're welcomed by enormous pillars made from 350-plus year old southern Japanese hemlock, and local wood is used throughout the building. The sales area is replete with wooden products including tables and chairs, and the restaurant overlooking the Hidaka River serves coffee brewed with spring water. They don’t mind if you bring lunch with you to the facility.

吊り橋がありました

川沿いにある道の駅で、施設としてはこの辺りの道の駅と似たようなウッディな感じです。道の駅の横に吊り橋があり渡ると神社がありました。吊り橋からの景色も良く時間があれば渡ってみてください。

柱や梁、壁にもふんだんに材木が使われており、部屋の中央には太い原木のような大黒柱が建っているなとウッディな雰囲気です。まな板や寿司桶などの木工品がたくさん陳列販売されていました。
木製品の揃う道の駅

龍神温泉に行った際に立ち寄りました。ウッディプラザ木族館というなまえもついていて、その名の通り地元の名産の檜や杉の製品のほか吉野葛やこんにゃくなど近隣の名産品も揃っておりました。ジビエもいただける食堂もありましたのでお好きな方には良いと思います。
