Shoeido (Main Shop)
A long-standing Japanese confectionery shop that has been around for over 100 years since the Meiji period. They sell a variety of Japanese sweets with a focus on showy high-grade Japanese fresh confections that reflect the seasons. Their Gomasuri-dango are a local favorite with velvety black sesame syrup in nicely textured mochi rice balls. Another local favorite is Tamura-no-Ume, featuring bean paste mixed with ume plum in gyuhi mochi wrapped in green shiso leaves. A sweet with a history, it was created on the orders of Tamura Clan, the feudal lord of Ichinoseki Domain since he hoped for some Ichinose specialty.

- ごますり団子で名高い和菓子屋です。それ以外の和菓子もおいしく、大福などのもち料理は本店にはイートインもあります。

- 餅の町、一関ということでゴマすり団子で有名な松栄堂さんへ。かなりモダンな佇まいで飲食スペースあり。カウンター6に対面8つくらい。店頭販売のものも更に移して提供される。一関は宮城寄りだからズンダなのかな。甘過ぎず美味しくいただきました。

- サラリーマン生活うん十年もやっていれば、何回も衝突がありました。部下や同僚をダシにして上司にゴマをすっているやつ、何人も見てきました。この店のごま摺り団子を見て笑ってしまいました。面白い名前のお菓子です。
