Shizuoka City Tokaido Hiroshige Museum of Art
This art museum in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City is located on the former site of a government inn in Yui-Shuku, one of the stops along the old Tokaido main road, and is now an art museum collecting the works of Utagawa Hiroshige. Some of his most famous scenery wood-block prints are on display including The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido (Hoeido Edition), The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tokaido, and One Hundred Famous Views of Edo from his later years. Special exhibitions are held as well as events such as lectures and gallery-talks.
