Ikeda Strawberry Farm

This strawberry farm is located a 15-minute drive from the Miyakonojo Interchange. Here, from February through late April, visitors can enjoy picking lovingly cultivated strawberries. The farm pays particular attention to the soil its strawberries grow in, and employs reduced agrochemical farming techniques which reduce the use of agricultural chemicals as much as possible. The farm's adjoining takeout-only shop sells soft serve ice cream made with an abundance of strawberries, mangoes, blueberries, and other seasonal fruits (quantities limited).
