Subashiri Sengen-jinja Shrine (Higashi-guchi-hongu Fuji Sengen-jinja Shrine)
This shrine in Sunto County, Shizuoka Prefecture enshrines Konohana-sakuya-himeno-mikoto. It is included as a World Heritage Site as a constituent property of Mt. Fuji. It is also known as the site of the first bird-watching gathering in Japan and you can find a commemorative plaque for the Wild Bird Society of Japan. Many people visit the shrine to pray for safety before climbing Mt. Fuji.
