A long-standing Japanese-style confectioner that first opened in 1867. They have seven directly managed branches including in Ebisu, Tokyo, and approximately 170 dealers nationwide. Their manju (steamed bun stuffed with sweet bean paste) use only high quality redbeans and granulated sugar and are small and elegant, weighing only 22-grams apiece. 昔から地域で親しまれていた山田屋まんじゅう。今では全国区となっていますが、すべてはここから始まったお店です。東京に住んでいる方たちの方が、送るとありがたがってくれますね。小さなおまんじゅうでこしあんが上品な感じ、個人的に牛乳といただくとおいしいです。わざわざ本店までこなくても今ではいたるところに店舗があったり、空港や駅、百貨店などにも販売されており、ちょっと食べたいときに買ってしまうお...

甘すぎずサッパリした甘さが魅力です。上品な甘さ。懐かしい、古き良き日本の田舎、南予を感じさせます。大好きな和菓子屋さんです。
昔の方が美味しかった

私が小さい頃は卯之町で饅頭を作ってました。しかし今は松山に工場があるそうです。味は昔の方が美味しかったかな。私の両親も同じ意見でした。先日里帰りしたときに購入して食べましたが普通に美味しかったです。昔ほどではないですが。冷凍しても美味しいと書いてありましたが冷凍はいまいち。卯之町の昔からある饅頭ですが、少し残念でした。
