Takoyakushido is built facing Shinkyogoku-dori street. It attracts so many believers that it has become known as Takoyakushi-dori Street. It is famous as a spot to pray for recovery from illness.

SMALL TEMPLE IN SHOPPING DISTRICT

When you run across this temple while shopping stop in a do a look-see. it is well maintain and a nice photo opportunity. It is just off shinkyogoku dori.

Not worth a special trip but pop in if you are passing by - the temple has lots of octopus motifs which is unusual.

With so many more temples in Kyoto I wouldnt make a special trip to see this one was quite near our hotel the Kyoto royal hotel so we passed when going shopping nice saki barrels worth a photo buts...
