Ise Hana
Ise Hana
“Happiness brought about by eating” is Ise Hana’s concept. Hana is a bit out of the way when you’re visiting Ise, in the residential Miyamachi area, but don’t let that put you off. This wonderful mid-range seafood restaurant prides itself on creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, a place where you can comfortably while away your time. Indeed the restaurant is beautifully laid out in a traditional Japanese manner, with lots of natural light and a view of a Japanese style garden. Try the kamameshi (kettle rice) for a wholesome and filling lunch.

Buy it fresh
Buy it fresh
If you’re lucky enough to be staying somewhere with a kitchen or BBQ, or you decide to cook out on the beach (recommended!) you can always buy your own seafood at nearly any small fishing town along the coasts. The prices are reasonable, it doesn’t come any fresher, and we’re willing to bet that you’ll find plenty of fish and other sea creatures that you’ve never even seen before.
