Since the opening of the first "WISE OWL HOSTELS TOKYO" in Hatchobori in 2016 followed by Shibuya and Kyoto, WISE OWL HOSTELS has welcomed over 100,000 travelers and created a bustling atmosphere in the neighborhood. The hostel is due to open its 4th branch at the heart of downtown Tokyo with a grand opening in January 2021 and pre-opening on December 19th, 2020. Proximity to the popular downtown sightseeing spot, Asakusa and Tokyo Sky Tree, WISE OWL HOSTELS RIVER TOKYO will serve as a shared house offering monthly rates along with their usual overnight stays as their new attempt.

Under this motto, WISE OWL HOSTELS began its journey back in 2016 with its first hostel, WISE OWL HOSTELS TOKYO opened in Hatchobori. Since then, the hostel has made 3 more around Japan and is popular among not just young travelers, but also couples and even families. As their 4th hostel, they have nestled in Asakusa, the heart of downtown Tokyo. The hostel is in Mizumachi, a shopping complex beneath a railway overpass, and is both a walking distance from Asakusa and Sky Tree. Aside from the cafe on the 1st floor offering fresh fruits and vegetable smoothies to curry by day and some finger foods and alcoholic beverages at night as a bar, guests can casually walk by to other diners at Mizumachi to satisfy their appetites too. Two floors offer dorms, twin rooms, and double-bed rooms with shared facilities for toilets, shower rooms, laundromat, and a mini kitchen. The first floor has dorms with stacked wooden crates with blinds and curtains. One room is women’s only while the other is mixed.

The second floor offers standalone twin and double-bed rooms and the room for monthly rent comes with no furniture while the usual overnight stays are equipped with a small bedside table and a desk.

On both floors, there is a shared toilet and a shower room. The shower room is locked so guests will need to key in the numbers. Linen change (once a week), replenishment of amenities and supplies, regular cleaning of common areas such as toilets and showers, and garbage collection are all done by the hostel, so with an affordable price, guests can enjoy a hotel-like lifestyle.
