Mitake Gorge
A gorge formed over countless years by the Tama River located in Mitake, Ome City, Tokyo. Walking paths have been put in place on both sides of the gorge for visitors to enjoy lovely scenery selected by the Ministry of the Environment as one of the 100 most beautiful river areas in the country. The area is also a renowned destination for river sports, and rafting competitions are occasionally held here.
