盛岡八幡宮由南部氏第29代當家──南部重信於1680年興建。作為農業、工業、商業、學問、衣食住等人類生活根源之神，自古以來就受到當地民眾的崇拜。全年舉辦彩車活動、流鏑馬（騎馬射箭）祭神儀式等各種祭典，聲名遠播。

1) 在JR盛岡站前乘巴士可以到達八幡宮。我是逛完岩手城跡公園後走過來，不太遠；2) 八幡宮的紅色鳥居非常巨大，兩旁的狛犬也很漂亮；3) 拜殿的設計很有特色，座落在高台上，很有氣勢。
