The National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, or the Miraikan, is a large museum dedicated to making science fun and interactive for children. There are three floors of exhibits that are hands-on and highly educational, along with shows featuring the latest in modern technology. The museum mainly focuses on three themes: the solar system, future sustainability and the environment on Earth.
The Miraikan is also popular with adult science enthusiasts. Talks and workshops are hosted regularly, and the interactive exhibits give ample learning opportunity to people of all ages. The Curiosity Field is a space specifically for children to explore the wonders of science with toys. Older children are invited to participate in the Science Workshop, where they can don lab coats and experiment with real and safe chemicals.
