For a more educational afternoon, try the Tokyo Water Science Museum. This free museum gives children the chance to interact with water and learn how this precious element affects human life. There is a mini water park outside the museum where kids can use squirt guns and get hands-on with crafts in the water. The museum is also perfect for learning how Tokyo’s water system works. It’s run by the Bureau of Waterworks, and children can learn where water from the tap comes from and how it gets there in the first place. The exhibits range from a movie theater teaching water circulation to large, hands-on gadgets and equipment teaching how water gets into faucets.
