山口縣的主要區域
沿著日本最大島本州向西，到達的最後一個縣是山口，山口與九州之間相隔的一小段水域稱為關門海峽，遠在南端的海港城市下關對著海峽遙遙相望。由於毗鄰水域，山口的海鮮毫無疑問是一大亮點，而且這裡指的可不只常見的魚類料理──惡名昭彰、同時又是日本美食的河豚，就是在山口縣發現的。想品嘗河豚，山口是最理想的地方。
