三重縣的主要區域

沿紀伊半島東側延伸的三重縣，長達數百公里的美麗海岸線包括盛產牡蠣的鳥羽市、和伊勢志摩國立公園，並一直延伸到熊野市、也就是熊野古道這條參拜道路一部分的起點，參拜道路會延伸進鄰近的和歌山縣。然而，三重最著名的還是位於內陸的神道教神社伊勢神宮，這是日本最古老也最大的神社之一。
