Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture, was selected as one of the New York Times‘ ``52 Places to Visit in 2023‘‘. The Yabukawa area of Morioka City is famous as the coldest area in Honshu. You can experience snowboarding trekking there! Enjoy snowshoeing while observing nature until you reach your destination, and once you arrive at your destination, you can start snowboarding! You can freely ski on the vast grounds! You can either slide on the fluffy powder snow or dive into the snow! There are many ways to play! An experienced guide instructor will give you a lecture on the snowboarding experience! Let‘s experience winter activities together that you can only do now! ~Clothing~ Snowshoes, poles, gloves, knit caps, winter wear/pants, thick socks, mountain climbing shoes (or snow boots), backpack, drinks, portable food (optional), hand warmers (optional), towels, tissues, etc.* If you are not properly dressed on the day, you may not be able to participate in the experience. *Snowshoes and pole sets can be rented for ¥500 (cash payment on site) ~ Procedure of the day ~ Meeting place Mahora Iwate Rest House Komorebi Kanmae (436-1 Yabukawa Toyama, Iwate Prefecture) 10:00 Greetings, gear explanation, notes Explanation and warm-up The warm-up exercise began with a greeting from the instructor, followed by an explanation of how to use the gear and precautions. 10:15 Snowshoe experience starts 10:30 Arrival at destination 11:30 Snow board experience (60 minutes) 11:45 Experience ends *Meeting at the site and disbanding at the site. *The trial start time can be adjusted.
