- Easy to go to the mountain top

- If you are not prepared to go hiking, it is an easy way to go to the mountain top. I hiked up and took the ropeway down.

- The ropeway is very short and there for not really worth it. They do, however, have expansive parking for at least 100+ cars, so many most travellers disagree with me. :)

- A relatively short ropeway (<10 mins) ride from the Nitatoge Observation Deck to the observation deck on Mt Myogen-dake. Nice views of the Unzen peaks, which are covered in lovely colours in autumn...
