  My friends and I spent about 2 and a half hours here, reading about each statue and piece we came across. There’s plenty of historic pieces to keep you busy that long!

  I wasn;t sure if the admission (Y500) was worth the visit. It was, even though the New Museum was closed.The main building has amazing collection of statues of Kamakura, Nara, Heian Buddhas and...

• Nice exhibition displays

  Nara National Museum held special exhibitions periodically. Entry fee required but the artifacts displayed thereat were valuable. Worth the visit.
