Most of the accommodation in Uji is true to the town's heritage of being a historic, traditional town. Apart from a handful of smaller business hotels, your options here are basically restricted to ryokan and onsen hotels.

The restaurant at Hanayashiki Ukifune-en offers kaiseki style (traditional Japanese multi-course dinner) menus and has recently been renovated.
