Just three minutes’ walk from Nakameguro Station is this hidden oasis, a public onsen bath that’s been rejuvenating visitors for 45 years. It was recently refurbished and reopened as Kohmeisen by its third-generation owners while preserving the traditions that were established by their parents and grandparents.

Aside from the mineral-rich springs, there’s also a sauna room and an open-air bath where you can stare up at the Tokyo sky. Don’t have a towel? No problem, as they rent towels and soaps so you can stop by whenever you like.

Opening hours: 3:00 pm to 1:00 am (last admittance at 12:30 am).
Admission price: Adults 460 yen, elementary school students 180 yen and pre-school children 80 yen.
