GACHAGACHA COFFEE - A unique Roppongi coffee brewery experience
"GACHAGACHA COFFEE" has opened on the 52nd floor (observation deck) of Roppongi Hills, where "Tokyo City View" and "MARUYAMA COFFEE" have teamed up to bring you a unique coffee experience. This limited time experience is only available from the 4th of October until the end of Novermber 2019.
DIY - GACHAGACHA COFFEE
GACHAGACHA COFFEE gives you a choice to choose from six different types of coffee beans — the word "Gacha" comes from Gachapon where capsule toys are sold from vending machines. After obtaining your preferred bean capsule from the machine, you will be the one who makes it from here on out. Think IKEA for coffee making.

The overall visual design was created by the award-winning Japanese design firm "nedo". The interior design creates a sense of calm while also giving off a modern yet futuristic schick look that we have all come to expect when visiting Roppongi Hills.

STEP 1 - Picking the beans
The coffee beans are produced by the famous Japanese coffee roasting brand "Maruyama" from Karuizawa. Ranging from deep to light roasted coffee beans that come from different sources. They even have a limited number of "mysterious beans".
Choose your Gachapon machine numbered from 1 to 5. Insert your 500 yen coin, then turn the lever to get your coffee beans. If you're feeling adventurous, choose the "?" gachapon machine. Aim to get the Gacha with the star mark; it will contain a secret high-grade type of coffee beans.
