  The artworks had reflected the darkness and cruelness that the war brought to the people. It made us think a lot and discuss a lot, trying to understand why the people still protesting nowadays

  Remember to peek into the US base next door and look out for the local tombs within the base grounds, thats when you realise how much impact the military have on the lives of the locals.

  佐喜眞館長と丸木夫妻との交流や美術館の成り立ちは、岩波ブックレット№904『アートで平和をつくる(2014年)』に詳しい。内部の肝心なところは写真撮影もできないので屋上の話。6・23の階段付近が白く塗られて、年末近くになると少しは涼しくなって晴れるとまぶしい。緑豊かな基地に食い込んだ位置関係はいろいろと考えさせてくれる。
