나가노시에 있는 무종파 사원. 종파 구별없이 참배할 수 있고, 일본에서 가장 오래된 일광삼존 아미타여래를 본존으로 하여 신앙을 모우고 있다. 에도 시대에는 '일생에 한 번은 젠코지 절을 참배해야 한다'는 말이 있었다. 일출과 함께 시작되는 아침 법요인 '오아사지'는 매일 진행되며, 내진권을 구입하면 가까이서 견학도 가능하다. 7년에 1번은 '전립본존'을 공개한다. JR 나가노 역에서 버스로 15분.
