가나자와 히가시 찻집거리에 있는 '가나자와 히가시로 시마'는 1820년에 세워져 오늘날에 이르기까지 손을 대지 않은 에도 시대 그대로의 건물이 남아있으며, 문화유산으로서의 평가도 높아 국가 중요 문화재로 지정되었다. 유흥을 위한 구조로 되어 있는 2층의 객실은 손님이 객실인 도코노마를 등지고 앉으면 정면이 대기실인 히카에노마가 되어, 미닫이문을 열면 춤이나 예능을 즐길 수 있도록 설계되어 있다. 찻집 내의 '간손안'에서는 가나자와의 전통과자와 함께 말차를 즐길 수 있다.
