하급 무사들이 부업으로 시작했던 가쿠노다테의 전통공예 '벚나무 세공'을 진흥할 목적으로 창설된 관광시설로, 아키타현 센보쿠시에 있다. 벚나무 세공은 산벚나무 껍질의 광택을 살린 심오한 색조가 특징으로, 다구류와 액세서리 등의 제품이 대표적. 관내에는 벚나무 세공을 비롯한 공예품과 문화 역사 자료의 전시실이 있으며, 벚나무 세공의 제작 실연 코너도 인기. 가쿠노다테의 옛날 건축양식을 도입하여 설계된 건물도 볼거리이다.
