About Activity

This is a sumo experience activity.
It will be conducted at a Machiya house built more than 100 years ago near Kiyomizu Temple.
The activity is called ‘Shall We Sumo?‘.
We will give you some explanation about a history of Sumo.
Then you can experience doing shiko moves like real sumo wrestlers.
After the training, let‘s cook a chanko hotpot which is commonly and traditionally prepared at sumo stables and eaten together.
