Suifuyou (Cotton Rosemallow) Festival

An event held each year in line with the peak of the cotton rosemallow blooming season from late September to early October in Fukuzawa Park and the Cotton Rosemallow Farm Road area, famous for their cotton rosemallows. Refreshment booths selling local dishes and food products open up in the park on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays during the festival (closed if raining). Cotton rosemallows are unique flowers that bloom with white flowers which gradually grow pink as if becoming intoxicated; depending on when you go, visitors to the farm road can enjoy entirely different scenery.
