Katayamazu Onsen Noryo Fireworks Festival (片山津温泉納涼花火まつり)
This fireworks festival is held at Katayamazu Onsen, known throughout Japan as one of the towns that make up Kaga Onsen. Starting on August 1st, 200 rounds of fireworks are launched from the banks of Lake Shibayamagata every night for a month. You can enjoy the spectacular sight of the fireworks in the center of Katayamazu Onsen from Yunomoto Park to Ukimido. If you go near the launching site on a pleasure boat, you can enjoy a feast different from what you could watch on land.

Ishikawa Areas

Long, thin Ishikawa prefecture runs along the Sea of Japan up into Noto Peninsula. Highlights of the seaside towns lining the west coast include Kanazawa, often described as a "Little Kyoto" thanks to its old wooden tea houses and geisha culture as well as its picturesque Japanese garden, Kenroku-en.
