Amagi River Fireworks Festival甘木川花火大会

A traditional festival is held in Asakura City, Fukuoka Prefecture every year in late August as part of the Nagarekanjo Buddhist memorial service offered with prayers for one's ancestors, household, and those with no kin. Spectators can enjoy the approximately 4,000 fireworks that bejewel the night sky and are reflected on the river waters, creating a mesmerizing atmosphere. The venue hosts various open-air stalls enlivening the event.
