This fireworks display takes place at the gorgeous scenic area of the famous Omimaiko on Lake Biwa's western shore. It features about 2,000 fireworks, including elaborate starmines. Access from the neighboring station is good, and you can take in the fireworks from the lakeside relatively close to the launch site. It's crowded with spectators every year. With the fireworks bursting against the backdrop of the Hira Mountains, the spectacular view of the sandy beach and the reflection of the fireworks on the lake is definitely worth seeing.
