Drawing in over 100,000 visitors every year, this big fireworks show is considered to be one of Akita City's Big Three Summer Festivals, along with Tsuchizaki Port Hikiyama Festival and the Kanto Festival. From fireworks designed by local students to specially create by 10 companies carefully selected by pyrotechnics masters from the Japan Fireworks Artists Association, roughly 8,000 rounds brilliantly illuminate the nighttime sky and take the audience on a roller coaster of emotion.
