Aomori Fireworks Show in cooperation with the Aomori Nebuta Festival (青森ねぶた祭協賛青森花火大会)
The only fireworks display of its kind in the whole country, this large-scale event features a combination of the Nebuta Festival and fireworks as the finale to one of Japan's most notable fire festivals-Aomori's Nebuta Festival. Six of the nebuta floats which have received either the Grand Prize or another prize from the Aomori Nebuta Festival Committee are set adrift on the ocean, while over ten thousand fireworks are launched in succession, brilliantly illuminating the ocean and nighttime sky.

Aomori Areas

Centuries-old stories of samurai at Kakunodate and the remains of millennia-old archaeological sites including the likes of Isedotai invite history buffs to delve into Aomori’s fascinating history. As the most northern prefecture on the Japanese mainland, Aomori enjoys a cooler climate, which makes it a welcome escape from the southern cities for combining castles, art galleries, and summer festivals with the great outdoors.
