Yamatsuriyama Park
A park extending across a region south of Mt. Yamatsuri, famed for its picturesque scenery and abundance of unusually shaped stones. Yamatsuri Park is a popular destination for viewing cherry blossoms and autumn foliage. The park is also a wildlife sanctuary home to around 90 species of animals and visitors can view a variety of wild birds on park grounds. In April, some 100 cherry trees in the park come into bloom, including Yoshino cherries, hill cherries, Botan-zakura cherries, and weeping cherries. Families can enjoy light hiking and flower viewing. The nearest station is Yamatsuriyama Station. Toilets, shops and parking available.
